According to his BrokerCheck report, William Paterson has been sanctioned by FINRA, was recently discharged from his former employer, and resigned from another former employ in connection to alleged rule violations.

In November 2017 FINRA sanctioned William Paterson following allegations he failed to provide a written statement, as FINRA had request, detailing information about a client complaint alleging the non-disclosure of mutual fund fees and expenses as well as the circumstances of his termination by his former firm. He was indefinitely barred from acting as a broker or otherwise associating with a broker-dealer firm.

In June 2017 he was terminated from his position at GWN Securities following allegations he failed to respond to a request from the firm.

In 2016 he submitted his voluntary resignation from Advanced Advisor Group following allegations he completed a transaction without authorization.
