Customer Alleged John Ginty Churned Their Account

He has passed four securities industry examinations: Series 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination), which he obtained on May 29, 1996; Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination), which he obtained on May 6, 1987; Series 7 (General Securities Representative Examination), which he obtained on October 20, 1984; and Series 24 (General Securities Principal Examination), which he obtained on August 26, 1986. He is a registered broker and investment adviser with 19 US states and territories: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.

According to his BrokerCheck report, he has received one customer complaint.

In April 2017 a customer alleged John Ginty, while employed at Capital Analysts and Lincoln Investment Planning, recommended unsuitable non-traded real estate investment trusts and churned the account. The complaint settled for $40,000.
